Jon Svetkey
After End Construction disbanded, Jon headlined venues like Club Passim, Caffe Lena, Cafe Carpe, Eddie's Attic, Skidmore College, WPI and Illinois Wesleyan University. He co-billed and shared writers-in-the-round nights with folks like Kristian Bush, Dar Williams, Peirce Pettis, Ron Sexsmith and Carrie Newcomer. He opened for legends like Richard Thompson, Loudon Wainwright III and Peter Case. He released two solo albums.
He formed his band, The Loomers, in 1994. They have performed at places like The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Fenway Park, The Knitting Factory, CBGBs, and Berklee College of Music. They backed John Mellencamp at a party at the 2004 Democratic National Convention, won the Jury Prize at Berklee College of Music's Battle of the Executive Bands, and were finalists in the Fortune Magazine Battle of the Corporate Bands. They've released five CDs and their recordings of Jon's songs have appeared on CBS, NBC, The CW, MTV & PBS.
Jon also sings with his wife, Heather Quay, and performs with Jonny Kringle & The Wondaland Band at Children's Hospital every year at Christmas time.
